Paul
Tiersky
Born in a small, farming community in Illinois
in 1959, Paul spent his growing up years immersed
in the elements of nature. After attending
college in Iowa, he moved to Minneapolis,
where his artistic talents first emerged.
As a hobby, he started mixing artistic papers
and paint with found objects.
Through a job promotion, Paul moved to Southern
California in 1985. After a successful business
career, he has devoted himself to his first
love of mixing "things" you find with "things"
you create. His favorite found objects are
those in your typical tool chest – those extra
pieces of any assembly project that don't
quite make it into the finished product.
Paul's current series, "Who Needs an Instruction
Book", combines acrylic, collage and industrial
parts on wood panels. His work can be found
in galleries in Los Angeles, Chicago, Cleveland,
Dallas and New York.
